Sweet and Sour Mango Seed Curry

Ingredients

Nutritional Value: Serves-3

Mango (small in size)-4-5(in number)
Cumin (jeera)- ½ tsp
Turmeric (haldi)- 1 tsp
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Sugar-1 tsp
Salt-as per taste
Red chilli powder-as per taste
Oil- 1 tbsp
Water- 1 ½ cup

Method

  1. Separate the pulp of mangoes from the seeds and keep it aside. Do not throw away the seeds.
  2. Take a pan and add oil to it.
  3. In the hot oil add cumin seeds, turmeric, salt, red chilli powder, garam masala with continuous stirring. And add the mango pulp in it.
  4. Now add the remaining mango seeds in the pulp gravy and add water to it along with sugar and bring it to boil.
  5. Now slow down the flame and let it cook for 5-10 min.
  6. Serve hot with plain boiled rice or chapattie.
