We all know curd is a dairy product obtained by milk coagulation process called curdling. Curdling of milk is a very common practice in Indian homes. You must have heard about a word probiotic, but what are they? Probiotics are the live bacteria or microorganism that are believed to provide health benefits when consumed. Probiotics has led to widespread consumption of food preparations containing probiotic microbes such as curd. The home-made curd contains Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) which has probiotic potential.
